Awards Application Options

Each year the College of Business and COBEC (College of Business Executive Council) RSO co-sponsor the annual COB Student Involvement Recognition Ceremony to recognize College of Business students, registered student organizations, and advisors for excellence in student involvement.

Listed below are the awards that RSO chapters may apply for:

  • Small RSO of the Year

    This award recognizes the contributions student organizations have made to Illinois State University and the College of Business over the past academic year. The organization must have made a significant impact on the College of Business, as well as, the ISU campus community through their activities which reflect their mission as well as exceeded their goals. This award is given to an RSO with membership of 24 members or less.

  • Large RSO of the Year

    This award recognizes the contributions student organizations have made to Illinois State University and the College of Business over the past academic year. The organization must have made a significant impact on the College of Business, as well as, the ISU campus community through their activities which reflect their mission as well as exceeded their goals. This award is given to an RSO with membership of 24 members or more.

  • Outstanding Service/Volunteer Organization

    This award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated a high level of commitment to community service. Resources (people, time, funds, materials, marketing efforts, etc.) were utilized effectively in the development and implementation of the program which was produced primarily by students. This program could be a series of events or occurred one time. The program needs to have been presentedbetween March 19, 2020 and March 20, 2021.

  • Outstanding Collaborative Program Award

    This award recognizes a program that was created and implemented as a collaborative effort between two or more organizations. Subject matter for the program can fall under: diversity/multicultural, academic/educational, service/volunteer, social/entertainment or philanthropic. Resources (people, time, funds, materials, marketing efforts, etc.) were utilized effectively in the development and implementation of the program which was produced primarily by students. This program could be a series of events or occurred one time. The program needs to have been presented between March 19, 2020 and March 20, 2021.

  • Advisor of the Year

    This award recognizes the contributions an advisor has made for a student organization at Illinois State University and the College of Business over the past academic year. The advisor must have made a significant impact on the College of Business, as well as, the ISU campus community through their activities which reflect their mission as well as exceeded their goals.
