Dr. Elango Balasubramanian
Professor Elango received his Ph.D. from Baruch College, City University of New York. His research focus is on Strategy in an International Business, Entrepreneurship or Technology context. He has published over forty articles in reputed business journals, books and U.S. Congress proceedings.
Dr. Elango primarily teaches Strategic Management and International Business/Management Courses at the Graduate and Undergraduate Business Programs. He incorporates his diverse experiences from various fields along with experiential exercises in the classroom, so that students practice active learning leading to enhanced self-development and flexible thinking.
Elango received the 2002 Research Initiative Award from ISU, 2004 COB Outstanding Researcher Award, 2006 Caterpillar Faculty Scholar Award, 2007 Wilma Jean Alexander Technology Innovation Award and has been nominated as the Country Insurance & Financial Services Faculty Scholar for 2008-2009 & 2012-2014. He serves as a consulting staff at the ISU's Statistical Consulting Center and as a research fellow at the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services.
